STOLEN CARGO.

Christchureh, Jan. 7. At the Magistrate's Court, John Joseph Smith, a fireman, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment for the theft of a hat from the cargo of the *teamer Kent.
_ The i^olice stated thai n large quantity of cargo had been stolen, the articles missing from one case alone 'being valued at over £150.
