Admiral Rodman said the German ships were of different types, and the Allies would be unable to make use of them. The supremacy of tlie combined British and American fleets was such that the Germans would never be able to face it. - What was the use of increasing the Allied forces by the addition of the German ships when Germany was now helpless? Other ships than the capital ships ought to be preserved for the Allies'use.
