Pogroms occurred at Poseh on Sunday, and a number of Jews were killed. The Synagogue was damaged by machine gunfire, and numerous houses •were pillaged. Fighting continues between Germans and Poles. Paderewski is commanding the latter.

Posen is officially declared to be in a state of siege. The Poles are storming the public buildings, and boys of fifteen are being armed with rifles against the Germans.

A thousand Poles stormed the artillery depots and distributed ammunition. They took possession of the railways, and sent t* the German garrison at Posen demanding surrender; otherwise airmen would bombard the barracks.
