Generals Sir William Birdwood and Sir John Monash have been awarded the Grand Cross of St. Michael and St. j George. The following New Zealand officers appear in the New Year Honours List: Companions of St. Michael and St. George: Colonels D. McGavin and D. N. Murray. Officers of the British Empire Order: | Captains F. Hindley and R. Riddiford ! (Infantry), Major F. W. Parker (Army | Service Corps), Major L. Shera (Engineers). ■ Distinguished Service Order: Lieut.- ---| Colonels G. Craig (Medical Corps), N. F. Shepherd (Infantry), Majors W. J. ! Jennings (Machine Gunners), R. G. Milligan, C. S'ommerville, R. A. Wilson (Artillery), N. H. Wilson, and Captain A. S. Falconer (Infantry). A bar to the Military Cross has been awarded to the following Now Zealanders:— Engineers: Captains R.
