While bathing at Devonport to-day, (Alice Murray,*aged 23, single, andi iAnstice Rainbow, a girl of 10, got out of their depth and were drowned. Alma Rainbow, aged 15, another of the party, was rescued, animation being artificially restored by W* J. Parker* Dunettln, Dec. 28. The Superintendent of Police has received a telegram from Roxburgh, stating that Alice May Woodhomes, a married woman, was drowned in the Molyjiieus river.
