... WeKmgion, Dec. 31. Captain Clayton, of the Arawa, which {ci t for London yesterday, Mas asked by the Marine Department to keep a careful watch for the missing boat from the barque Aryan. The steamer Dorset, which loaves today, will be asked to do similarly whilesteaming in the vicinity. The Aryan was the iir.st yoxhol allowed to clear from Wellington without her cargo being examined by Customs officials. The practice Ims" been to make 'i careful examination, owin^- to possible action of enemy subjects, but a . few week's after the* armistice was signed it was decided to discontinue the practice. It lias been decided that if the tnird boat from the barque Aryan is still missing on Thursday, the Hinemosi will l)e despatched at once to search :»r it.
