Owing to the large number! of crippled veterans of the western front, London dealer &' in-men's footwear now sell single shoes for one-half the price iof pairs. To quote an advertisement that recently appeared in a fashionable illustrated magazine: "War-time boots lat 26s 3d" a pair; or 13s 2d a boot. The single 5 boots, right or left, are for those mem who have- Been so unfortunate 'as to lose a le°\"
