Mona Nursery: Artilleryman (S.I) 1, Moorna Lass (7.7) 2, Denacre (8.10) 3, Twenty-one starters. Won by threequarters of a .length. Time, 57. Eclipse Stakes: Outlook (7.11) 1, Woolaroi (9.4) 2, Democracy (7.2) 3. Seven starters. Outlook led all the way and won by a nock after a vigorous finish. Ethiopian was fourth! Eusebius ran badly.
