ROAD BOARDS.
SUBURBAN NORTH
The monthly meeting of the Suburban North Road Board was held on Friday, October 11th. Members present: Messrs. J. Corder (chairman), A. Dodson (treasurer), E. W..Frost, B. F. Weller, A. Stagg, and T> W. Anderson.
Accounts amounting to £9 Os 2d were passed for payment. The overseer's report was then read and approved. ■ •"
Correspondence was read as follows: From the Crown Lands Office, Nelson, advising of the amount of £2 13s 3d, thirds, fourths and halves accrued in favour of the- ->board, and asking for scheme of expenditure.
From the Red Cross Association, asking for a donation for "Our Day" spbcial appeal.—Resolved, that £5 he granted. . '.....'•..-. ,
Resolutions were passed as follows:— That-the overseer have the large stones removed'from the upper side of the ford in Teal Valley, so as to give the water more spread.
That the bridge near Mr. Whitwell's be repaired, ths overseer to have the work done as socn as possible.
That the overseer inform the dayman on No. 6 section of road (Wangamoa) that in future all metal taken for road natching between the high cutting and Oollins's bridge must be taken fronl the gravel pit on Mr Weller's property, and an account kept of the number of yards taken.
That applications be invited for daymen and teams for district roads for 12 months.
