Referring to the coming session, the premier stated that he understood that the Government's programme was well in hand. The House would be able to proceed to work without delay.
'llie length of the session would depend on members themselves.
The- result of the two recont by-elec-tions was mentioned, and Mr Massey •said: "i realise there never w^as a Government that did not meet reverses occasionally. So far as I am concerned I am qurtp prepared to face the position at any time, either in Parliament or otit of rt.' T ; - ■
Mr Massey would not make any statement as to the prospect of a general election in the near future.
