CAPPELLI CONCERTS.
-_c second and concluding concert by Signor. Oappelli and his associates M-as given at the School of- Music last night. The: heavy rain which fell in the early part of the evening no doubt -kept numbers away, and.the attendance was, in the circumstances, good. We should lie pleased to be able "to record that there was a full house, for we feel sure that'it will be long before Nelson is again favouredrby a,visit from artists of equal calibre. As on Saturday night, the programme was greatly extended by the insistent recalls which were made in the case cf all the performers, for the audience was most enthusiastic and ,the artists were so good-natured that even double encores were acceded to. Eight of the ten items on the programme were new, the "Miserere" duet and grand trio from "Trovatore" appearing a second time by special request, and in compliance with requests a number of the items given on Saturday evening were again rendered as encores. The concert was a rich musical treat, and, like its predecessor, will longbe remembered as such. Both duet and trio were repeated in response to the ovations they evoked, and at the conclusion of the trio, the last item on the programme, Signors CappeJli and- Cesaroni led Miss Fairhall and Signor John ' Vitetta ta' the front -in. acknowledgment of their share iiy the sxiccess^—a nice compliment which was well deserved and much appreciated by the. audience.
