PAN-GERMAN PAPERS IN
DESPAIR.

The "Fremdenblatt" says that the Government and the Reichstag have unrestrictedly accepted President Wilson's entire pi-ogramme as a basis of peace, and the aim of further deliberations is to ii-Qach a- compromise.-'upon; practical details'. It declares,that the evacuation demand is not impossible if it Is guaranteed that Belgium will not again become a theatre of war. Germany believes that peace is dawning, but the "Fremdenblatt" declares that Germany's possessions must be guaranteed to her.
"Vorwaerts" regards the prospects of peace as favourable,, but warns the public against impatient expectations.
The "Frankfurter Zeitiuig" inquires if it is- demanded that the evacuations shall include the Eastern occupied territories. It alleges that Poland requested a continuance of the occupation, and doubtless the Baltic provinces do the same.
The Conservative newspaper "Kreuz Zeitung," commenting on recent events, says: "Prussia is dead, but we will receive the Socialist Democracy's sword thrust standing erect. The work of great Prussians from Frederick the Great to William 11. lies in ruin."
The Krupp newspaper "Dusseldorf Naehrichten" .states that. Germany -"is, dying at the hands of her own allies. . : The Emperor Charles has proclaimed the reunion-of Bosnia, Herzegovina, Dalmatia, Croatia, and Lavonia into a single State.
