London, Oct. 11, 1.55 p.m
Sir Douglas Haig reports:—
The Americans completed the capture of Vaux Andigny and St. Souplet last evening.
The British crossed the Selle river northward of Le Cateau, in the eastern portions of which fighting is still proceeding.
We have reached the outskirts of St. Vaast and St. Aubert, and made progress northward of the Scarpe in the direction of Izel-lez-Equerchin, and also eastward of Sallaumines, on the north bank of the Havezeule Canal, and eastward of Lens.
