Messrs Burhidge and Son report a* follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market:— . c have a good demand' with high values realised for all kinds of fruit, especially choice Delicious, Dougherty, Stunner, Washington, and Cambridge Pippin apples. Current values :— Apples: Dougherty 13s to 15s6d, Delicious 13s to los, Stunner 11s to 13s 6d, Rokewood 7s. 6d to 8s 9d, Commerce 7s to 9s, Washington 8s to 9s 6d, Cambridge Pippin 83 to 9s.
Pears 14s to 16s per bushel cases. Green peas 3s to 4s per pack. Asparagus 2s to 3s per bundle. Rhubarb 10s to 14s per dozen bundles.
Eggs Is 6d per dozen. Butter (scarce) Is 3d to Is 4d per lb.
Potatoes 13s per srvt.
Everything is selling well, and consignments are recommended.
