PROPOSED REGULATIONS.
SUGGESTIONS TO AUCKLAND EDUCATION BOARD.
The request of the Education Board for suggestions as to the nature of the regulations which should govern the use of the cinamatograph as a mums of education, was considered at a conference between the headmasters of the Auckland schools and the sub-commit-tee- appointed by the City Schools Committee to deal with the provision of school picture shows. After discussion, j the conference resolved to submit to the ■ board the following, suggestions :— I (1) That since the headmasters are the i ! best judges as to what picture subjects I would help the work of their schools.' the selection of the programmes should be left entirely in their hands; (2) that no demonstrations be hold unless in the opinion of the committee and headmasters the hygienic conditions arc satisfactory; (3) that tlie demonstration be held only in the mornings, when atmospheric conditions are jiiove favourable ; (4) that the Education Board provide for the cost of all picture demonstrations ; (5) that the Education Board consider the advisability of nroviding a complete moving picture appn.vat\is,.foT the purpose of rriving thn demonstrations at intervals to the combined schools in a suitable bivldrior. sor>b_p.s the concert chamber of the Town Hail.
