The Fisk- Jubilee Singers^ the unique .success of whose season in Nevv r Zealand
some years ago will be remembered by music-lovers, are commencing a short season of two nights at the Theatre Royal on Monday next. The enterprise is under the direction of Messrs. C. A. White and Marshall Palmer, and the personnel of the company is well up to .the standard'by which they attained previously such a liberal measure of popularity. The programme consists of characteristic jubilee choruses, glees, solas', plantation melodies, quartets, coon songs, ragtime- ditties, etc. The well-known lady baritone, Miss Belle Gibbons, is still a tower of strength to the company, and the direction of the music is in the capable lianas of 1-ro-fessor C. A. White. The combination have just concluded a lengthy and successful tour of Australia. Ihe box ' plan for the Nelson season is .now open at Hounsell's.
