He was bitterly disappointed. , He added that Labour's international policy was not a compromise with the German militarists, but was inspired by a desire to win tho war for freedom and democracy. They believed the German Government could be compelled to yield to the combined pressure of the Xllied armies, and that the deceived German nation v.ould be disillusioned.
