ALLEGED BREACHES OF BANKRUPTCY ACT.

Wellington, May 6. At the. Police Court to-day, George Hart, mattress-maker, pleaded not guilty to charges of breaches of the' Bankruptcy Act, and was committed; for trial. The charges were that, being a bankrupt, he disposed of other than in the ordinary way of business a quantity of ticking which he had not paid for; and-that lie did not disclose to the Official Assignee all his property and now he had disposed of any part thereof except such as had been disposed of in tlie ordinary way of business. He was also charged with contracting debts without reasonable expectation of paying them, and with failing to keep proper books of account.
