Special thanks ai'e due to Mrs Hanron who, soon after the fund started, formed a branch in Stanley Brook and now sends a statement of her account, audited by Mr Allan Robertson, Nelson, showing £68 4s, as subscribed by-tho ladies of Stanley Brook and Tapawera up to 31st December last, all of which has been expended in the purchase of material which has been made into 2;arments by the ladies of those districts. Their assistance has, contributed very materially towards the success of the fund.

Mrs Helena. Averhall, Reigate, writes : 'lam writing as ■ president of- one of the societies of. the National Union c.f Women's' Suffrage- Societies, .which is interested in maternity, and infant welfare and which has .been, receiving and districting some of th<s beautiful clothing which your ebde.ty-.-is sending with such constant generosity. I wish to ipnvey to you the hearty thanks of mV society, and also of tho members of .tn.e.-Reigate.. Borough Maternity Committee. I cannot' tell,you what a help tho. garments have been to us through all these months and how grateful the mothers have been: Good woollen clothing is now almost bej'ond the means of working Women. The little' outfits from New Zealand help to relieve the extra anxiety of which expectant mothers have so large a siiaro in these times." Mrs Thorp has kindly consented tc take charge of tho fund during Mrs Hudson's absence in Wellington. £10 has been sent to The Children's Clothing Society, Dublin. Cut out garments can be liad at Red Cross rooms as. usual.
