The president reported on a visit to Mdtueka, -where a sub-branch of tie society is being formed. About a dozen names had been already received and Nurse Thompson- would pay a monthly visit.
Tlie nurse's report for February was read. There are now 135 babies under treatment, all of whom are making satisfactory progress. Visits were paid to Motucka, Wakefield and Richmond.
A sesolution was passed empowering the secretary to give permission to the nurses to supply sugar of milk free in necessitous cases, such etises to be re« ported at the next meeting.
A sub-committee, consisting of th& president, secretary, treasurer, and Nurse Bisley, was appointed to make arrangements for a garden party to welcome Nurse Thompson during the present month.
A vote of thanks to Miss Suffcon was passed for assistance given to the nurses.
It was decided that the next meeting be held on Friday, April sth.
