Father Doyle, of/Remuera, who las returned from ther front after being absent for two years, pays a warm tribute to the religion of the French people, whom ho held to be pre-emin-ent in bravery and all the warlike virtues. After the Frencl", there were none better than the New Zealanders. He had travelled much with them through France and Flanders, and he could wish for no better, companions for tre journey through life. There were good and bad amongst them, as was natural, but as a whoto they were loyal and kiricl, am} his impression of them was that in. their breasts they wished to do only what was right, just, and good, and to telp everyone who needed help.
