HELPING HAND SHOP,

The committee of the Helping Hand Shop thank the three gentlemen who 'yesterday sent in a generous contribution of fish, which, greatly added to the .day's takings. They also thank the ladies in the south-east part of the city and the Tahu'na ladies for their monthly j I contributions. The Red Cross Fund benefits to the extent of £23 3s 6d. The expenses were 8s 6d. Contributions :were received from Wnkapuaka, Upper Mouetere, Riwaka, Stoke, 'Girls Central, Boys' Central, Brook Street, and Miss Laghtfoct's Schools, and the city. The boys again did good work. The contribution of mushrooms- was much I appreciated. *- ' ■ ■
