'Mr W. T. Massey, writing from Palestine Headquarters on February 25th, after detailing the difficulties ol the advance, says:—

I What probably is an artillery, record has been established in the Jericho operations. Tre guns began firing at an altitude of 2900 feet over the sea, and when they finished the guns were in action in. the Jordan Valley 1100 ft i below sea level.
