PERSONAL.

Mrs C. Byles, of Thorpe, has rece'ved cabled advice that her son, Private Hubert P. Eyles, has been again admitted to hospital, suffering from a •wound in the right thigh. He was previously severely wounded in the left hand at Measures.

Mr H. O. Drummond, of Riwaka, has been advised by the Minister of Deience that his son, Private A. M. Drunrnioud, was admitted to hospital in France on February 20th, gassed, severely.

The following ministers have been permitted by the Methodist Conference to become permanent supernumeraries:— Revs. Messrs Baumber, Hudson,-' Griffon, aud Blight. The Rev. Mri Marshall was allowed to continue as supernumerary for another year.

Mrs W. Kiiby, of "Waimea road, has been advised that her son, .Private Jli. V. Stewart, was admitted to hospital on February 20th, gassed.

The Rev. Mr. Suckling has been transferred to the New South Wales Methodist Conference for missionary work. It is understood he will be appointed to Fiji.

The Rev. Mr. Chapman lias been appointed to Taranaki Street Methodist Church, Wellington, for the eighth year, and the Rev. Mr. Boys to Palmerston North for the sixth year.

The Very Rev. Father Aubry, S.M., and Rev. Father Campbell, S.M., were tendered a welcome to Greymouth by St. Patrick's congregation. •"

Mr J. Schofield, from Wellington, has succeeded Mr J. Caradus (transferred on promotion) as accountant at the Nelson branch of the Bank of iNew South Wales.

The Auckland "Star" states that while Mi William Pryor, who recently underwent an operation for appendicitis, is. making very satisfactory progress towards recovery, it will be some considerable time before he will be fit to return to Wellington.

Mr H. S. Robison, manager of the Bank of New South Wales, yesterday received word from Base Records confirming a previous private advice that his son, Sapper A. H. Ho bison had been severely gassed, and was admitted to hospital in _ Franco on February 20th. Sapper Re-bison, who belongs to the Divisional Signalling Corps, joined-the-.Ex-peditionary Force at Auckland, and left with the Eleventh Reinforcements.
