HAWKE'S BAY ADVICES.
Napier, March 5. The sea moderated considerably today.
The Arahura landed passengers at the breakwater wharf this morning. Other steamers are still out in the baj'. The Ngaruroro and Tutaekuri rivers are overflowing their banks. Settlers appear to have been prepared for the ilood. The weather cleared locally at noon.
Later
The sea is now subsiding. Heavy rain is causing a small flood, but no damage is reported. Owing to hhe rain, the Parliamentary trip to Waikaremoana has been postponed.
