AN OLGA PETIIOVA PLAY
To-day's r.Uvr at the -Theatre Royal, "Tlig Secret of Ere," is a vital photoplay, full of dramatic incident. "Aline. Petrova has never been called upon to do a more c'ifficult piece of work than in this production. .First of all, sho portrays Erain-the Garden of Akien. Then she is semi as Hagar, who leaves her baby daughter: on the doorstep oi "houserdwelling" people so, that she n>ay have a; chance of happiness. JN'ext she appears as the rfoster-child of Quakers. Marrying a millionaire she goes to the .city, still in pursuit of happiness. iiie final picture is of the noble-mincied woman who has found perfect joy in giving her life- to the service of iittie children. In this Metro wonder play which shows all phases of civilisation' from primitive life onward,. Mme. Petrova is supporter! by a notable cast "The Secret of Eve", incidentally shows an institution for blind children, dep^ctiivv faithfully the methods used in teaching and amusing them. A prominent New iork establishment for the blind was specially 'filmed for the purpose.
