ADDINGTON MARKET.

Christchuroh, Feb. 27. 'At Addington yards to r day the entry of fctore sheep was a good one,- ineluuing lines from Nelson. The demand was keen right through the sale for anything good. The range of prices was:—-Two-tooth ewes 22s 9d to 345, 4 ard C-tooth ewes to 36s 3d, 6 and Stooth ewes to 33s lOd, sound-mouth ewes to 33s 9d, 2-tooth wothers to 2£s 6d, 4 and 6-tooth wethers to 31s 2d, 6 and 8-tooth wethers to 30s 6d, rape lambs 20s to 25s Bd, medium 17s Id to 19s 10dj lighter and cull to 17s. There were 3139 fat lambs yarded, as compared with 2210 last week. Prices5 Temained on a par with the previous sale. The range of prices was:—Extra grime to 34s 2d, prime 26s Id to 29s to 30s 9d/lighter 275.

Fat sheep: Approximately the same number was entered as last week, and there was little difference in values. iEwes were slightly cheaper. Range of prices:—Extra prime wethers to 40s, prime wethers 34s to 38s Bd, lighter 29s to 33s 3d, merino wethers 19s to 22s Bd, extra prime ewes to 35s 9d, 'prime ewes 32s 6d to 33s 7d, medium 27s lOd to 30s 9d, lighter 27s to 28s. Fat cattle: The yarding was rather smaller and a large proportion of cow beef. The ciuality was fair all through. ■Range of pricesl:—Extra prime steers to £22 17s 6d, prime steers £17 to £19, 1 ordinary steers £11 17 s 6d to £16 10s, .prime heifers £11 5s to £15 12s 6d. ordirary £9_to £11, prime cows £12 10s to £17 2s 6d, ordinary £9 to £12. . There was a very keen sale oiLveal>ers and the market was swept of larger sorts. Prices: Runners £2 10s, good vealers £3 2s 6d to £5 10s* fair. i£2 6s *to £2 Bs, small and inferior 6s to 38s. Store cattle: Prices remained unchanged. There was a large entry oi dairy cows of uneven quality.
