Wellington, Jan. 24. Messrs Thompson Bros., Ltd., report as follows on the Wellington fruit and produce market: —

During the week heavy consignments! of stone fruits have come forward. I Values are somewhat easier. Tevioo apricots-are coming to hand freely, and are meeting with ready sales, feupptio* of tomatoes are equal to "the demand at current rates. Dessert apples are now wanted; values have advanced, the market being now clear of imported dessert, varieties. The following values are obtaining : — Pears: Choice Hawke's Bay "Williams' Bon Chretien 3s 6d to 4s 3d, Louise Kou jersey,3s to 4s, Motueka 3s to 4^, Windsor 2s 9d to 3s, 6d per half-case. Apples: Gravenstein 9s to 12s, lie Quarrendon 6s to Bs, Beauty of i3a,th os 6d to 7s 6d, lied Astrachan 7s to fe per bushel, cooking varieties 5s co -6s per bushel.

Apricots: Te/iot 4s 9d .to 5s Gd, Motueka 4s to ns per half-case. ■ Peaches: Choice dessert 6s to 7s.j : others 4s to 4s 9d, cooking varieties .">.- tid to 4s 6d.* Nectarines: Choice 4s 6d to 5s 6d. t Greengages Ss 6d to 7s 3d.
