i ■ London, Jan. ,23, : Sir Douglas Haig reports:— Trere were successful patrol encounters last night eastward of Ypres. The enemy raided one of our posts southward of St. Quentiri. •There is hostile artillery activity at Cambrai. Our aeroplanes during the night dropped over two hundred bombs on aerodromes near Coiytrai, and billets at Roulc-rs and liumbeke. We also air raided Germany, and i dropped two tons of bombs on the steel works at Thionville, the railway siding at Bernsdorf, and the Anaville junction.
