One of Foxton's oldest settlers Mr Andrew Johnson, aged 74 years, died last week. Mr Jonson was the hvet storekeeper m Palmerston, and for years owned a trading vessel.
Archbishop Redwood will arrive from Wellington .to-day-, to preside at the opening of the new Catholic Church at Motueka on Sunday.
