POSSESSIONS

| - Sydney, Oct. 17. | The evidence at the inquiry into a recent fire on a steamer lying at Miller's Point indicated incendiarism. When Harold Baten, formerly employed by the Union Company, appeared in Court charged with forging a seaman's discharge certificate, the police stated that a quantity of gelignite, dynamite, detonators, and fuses, and correspondence relating to explo<» sions on ships were found in his possession.
