ROUNDING- UP THE GERMANS

Renter's correspondent at Ossindinge, East Africa, says that the rounding up of the Germans is proceeding vigorously. Indian cavalry is doing invaluable work in outflanking the enemy and destroying many Gorman food depots. The Nigerians captured Mawerenge, killing the largest number of Germans in any engagement in the campaign. A German officer sjamboked lis platoon in the face of machine guns and perished with them. The post captured on the Portuguese border is important, because if is the only remaining source of the enemy's salt supply. . I Tfe Germans are now confined to.a corner of the colony, and are concentrated as if for a final stand. The net lis daily being drawn closer. ! Tlie difficulty of .feeding our troops, 'which was so great during the early portion of the campaign, has jiow been obviated by our possession of the sea bases, Kilwa ano* Linde. I Ttera is no longer any shortage of food.
