He was sure that when the time came the mem'becs of the Second Division would be found to provide men as good and as wiiiinq as those of the First Division. It wai only right that xiie Second Division should nave an assurance .that every need in regard to dependents would be thoroughly looked into, and ne was sure lhat the claims would not be extravagant. , ■ The election of .officers resulted":— President, Mr C- R. Fell; .vice-presi-dent, Mr J. iJ. Finney; secretary Mr H. baunders jun., pro; tern; treasurer Mr V. Webley; committee, Messrs A. Noil, A. Dyson, C. H. Broad, A. Cross T. Colo, K. 6. Lucas, H. Glover, l! Hockey, A. G. Shrimpton, and Captain H. Collins. It was resolved that the annual subscription be 2s 6d. Tt was resolved that wives and friends of members of the Second Division be admitted to honorary^ membership. 1 Th? question of a constitution for the branch was referred to tiie committee, in the meantime five to form a qvorum of the committee At this stage the president took the chair, and a voto of thanks was passed to Mr Pettit. The president said every endeavour should be made to envoi in the branch every member of the Second Division.^ Mr Finncy »avo n^> resume of the transactions at the Second" Division conference at Wellington.' A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Finney for attending tho conference. A proposal that a question box be provided wasaadopted""■.
