Sir Douglas Haig reports: We attacked and completed the capture of Westhoek and secured the remaining (positions on Westhoek ridge.

The French upon tiie left flank battle front contim;e to progress eastward and northward of Bixsehoote.

Obr raiding parties on a wide front /eastward of Moneliy-le-Preus blew in dug-outs. Great damage was inflicted, and the enemy sustained severe casualties.

Machine guns stopped a German counter-attack.
