Sir Douglas Haig reports: During local lighting in the neighbourhood of Bullccourt a party of the enemy while attempting to advance in' the open were caught by our machine gun fire and suffered heavy casualties.

There has been considerable reciprocal artillery activity at intervals northwestward or St. Quentin, and in the neaghbotirhod of Bullecourt, Wancourt, and Arleux.
