NELSON TROTTING CLUB.

A meeting O 7 the committee of the Nelson Trotting Clulb was held yesterday afternoon. The president (Mr ti. Baigent) occupied the chair, and there were also present Messrs M. P. Webster (vice-president)), R. Hunter, D, Crushek, J. H. Finney, F. G. Edwards, and T. W. Moorbouse. Two new members were elected. ! It was resolved to accept Mr G. A.1 Day's offer of £3 for the privilege or" selling sofb drinks in the grandstand bar. - The president reported -that arrange-; ments had been made for ihe attetidacce of a string band of seven peiformers. . It was decided-that, the meeting being for patriotic purposes, complimon-: tary tickets be issued only to oih'ciaisj of visiting clubs.

At a meeting of the stewards, held .subsequently, it was decided that horses trained by the same trainer starting in any race shall be bracketed on the totalisator.
