THEATRE ROYAL.
There was a full house at tho Theatre Royal last night to see the Mutual film, "The Divinity of Motherhood," [and many were unable to gam admission. A well-known dramatic critic of" 25 years' standing in New^ Zealand wrotes spontaneously of this picture: "In all my experience I have never seen a picture which impressed me so much. I admit that I approached it I with some scepticism, for the subject, it seemed to me, was one of such delicacy, that it could not bo properly treated with any degree of convincingness in a. picture. It is not necessary to labour the theme, but I say confi- | dently that every man and every woman 'who can sea it ought to do so. Further than that, it should have the earnest support of every Church and public organisation throughput the Dominion. Its immense power is only equalled by the delicacy of its treatment and its infinite pathos in an ago when we are faced with the problem of losing our boys and having to replace them. I have no personal interest in the picture beyond having been so deeply touched by its wonderful humanity that I am anxious that as many as is possible of my fellow-countrymen may see it." The People's Pictures management announce the final screening of "The Divinity of Motherhood" for this evening.
