Official. —The Prime Minister is suffering, from -a severe chill, and is remaining indoors to-day by the doctor's orders. He has written to members of the.House of Commons as follows:
"The King entrusted to me the task of forming a Government, and I Jiave carried out his Majesty's commando. I had hoped to make a statement in the House on December 12th, but this is now impossible. Mr Bonar Law will move an adjournment until the 14th. "The one predominant task of the Government is the vigorous prosecution of the war to a triumphant conclusion. I am confident that the Government can rely on your support as long as they devote their energies effectively to that end.''
The War Cabinet. met and will continue to meet every week day.
