PLANS APPROVED.

The Nelson Ho&pibal Board's deputation, consisting of Messrs "W. Lock (member) and F. Peck (architect), interviewed Hon. G. W. .'Russell, Minister of Public Health, to-day, and dismissed the plans for the Old People's Home, which the Department had stated were "too elaborate, complex, and inconvenient."
Mr Lock detailed the action taken by the board since the fire, and the arrangements for temporary accommodation, finance, etc. On referring to the plans, the Minister said they had not come "before' him. and he recora/oiended the deputation to go back to the Inspector-General and Dr. Frengley. Later Mr Pock explained the .plans to the medical men, who expressed approval with . slight alterations, and the Inspector-General wired the •chairman of the f>aard before the deputation withdrew.
