On Monday morning the British made a highly successful attack on a five mile front' on both sides of the j£ncre s capturing the fortified villages of BeatimontHamel and St. Pierre Divon. Over 3,300 prisoners were taken/ The Roumanians are still holding out valiantly in the Transylvanian passes. The enemy pressure is verysevere in Jiul Valley. The Germans "appear to have crossed the Danube at Ohernavoda, but their further progress is held up by the Busso Roumanians, The Serbians have further driven the Bulgars and Germans from the Oerna, inflicting heavy losses.
