The British have recaptured the trenches north-west of "Pozieres ..which the Germans entered on Sunday. Otherwise the position in the West is unchanged. King George has just concluded a week's visit to the trenches which occasioned many fervent demonstrations by the troops The Eussian advance on the Upper Strypa* continues, and they are still- crossing the Zlota Lipa under heavy fire In the Carpathians region-they have captured Jablonitza, and two towns on the Prirth. The Italians report heavy fighting east of Grorz.
