Committee meetings in connection with the Bulb Show and Daffodil Day next month in aid of tho- soldiers' Christmas presents Tvero hold last night at Hallensteins' rooms; when Mrs \\. Lock was voted to the chair, lucre was a largo attendance. .Mrs Neville, of Christ-church, was i"t"odr.ced to the meeting as an energetic worker for the Lady Liverpool Iniml. . \ letter was read from Captain iium. o ranting the use of the Drill Hall, for the Bulb Show on September 13th and 14th free of charge, provided tho committee paid for tho gas used. Tt was decided that tho charge tor admission to the show be €d ror adults and 3d for children. Ladies belonging to ..the Bombardier Ward will have" charge of the toa- kiosk at the show. . ' Tbo attractions at tho show will prolvably include fortune-telling, and a produce stall may be added to the list or stalls. T . , . P It was reported that Miks Ligntrooc 3. school would take part in. the • proreediivs on Daffodil Day .i.u"£-h), and that Miss Wright would train a number of children for the occasion. Mm Vining reported on the Oneen competition, and it was stated that there would probably be eight 01 tc-n candidates.
