Dalgety and Co., Ltd,, have received t.he iollowing cable fn;m their London office under date of Ju] v 2&th :—"The fifth series of woo] sales closed iiign. As ■compared with the d<;-;insj- rates'of last sale, super and. good scoured MeVinos. were 5 per cent, dearer, whilst sort and faulty were on a. p.-ir. Super greasy Merinos advanced 5 per-cent., and good from par to 5 per cent., and faulty wore; at par. Lambs' were from par to 5 per cent-, lower. Fine, greasy, .crossbred* declined from par to 6 per cent.; medium and coarse, land also crossbred lambs ay ere 5 per cent, lower. Fine scoured crossbreds showed a decline 0f.5 T>er c-ent. and medium and coarse 7to 10 per cent. Slipes w?>re from par to 5 per cent lower. 12,30*.). bales were carried forward, of. which 8000 "were-not offered."
