A married woman living at the east end .of W;aihi was missed from her home last week. A search 'party was organised, but found no trace of her. About 9 .p.m. Constable Heeps discovered the eld \vonian' immersed in a, pond near the Old Eavona- mine shaft, only her head and shoulders beiiig exposed. Tli-^ constable lifted the woman out, and. she wag taken homo.for'niMJieal attention. Investiga-tion shovroi that she was suffering i'rorc -mental depression, and was unable to explain how she got into the pond. Sho was in the Avater about two 'hours. '
