As the result of the appeal made on behalf of Belgian Children's Fund a sum of £11 3s Oid had been collected. • FINANCE.The treasurer's statement- showed tbe following balances:—Cr balance at Bank, £1065 16s 4d; General Account Dr., £422 11s 5d ; Buildings Account, Cr., £3128 12s ]d; Technical Account Dr., £1640 4s 4d. SECRETARY'S REPORT. The Secretary (Mr N. R. Williams) reported inter alia, that pinus insignis ti-oes donated by Mr Kingsland, of Appleby,-had been received and would be distributed forthwith. Particulars in support of tho application for a grant for additions to Tahuna School were being collected. The building supervisor (Mr W. Dement) reported that plans and specifications had Leen prepared for certain works, including conveniences at Brightwater and Motupipi, additions to Tahuna and Long Plain and gates and woodshed : -at Motueka side school. Details were given of work done^at various schools. He reported that the conveniences at Brightwater were being erected. GENERAL. The Department wrote declining ap-j plication for grant for proposed additions to Tutak'i school. The Department y-wroto authorising grant for Owen Junction school. No action was taken in regcrd to P.iwaka, school. Resolved, that the tenderer ho informed that the teacher's residence only at Neudorf is to bo removed. The Wai-iti Connuituv was granted £o for repairs. The matter of conveniences a& Motupipi was held over. APPLICATIONS.
