SHARPSHOOTERS' CARNIVAL.
NEXT WEDNESDAY
.In connection with the' Silver Bullet Cannonade the Sharpshooters have decided- to -hold at -Motueka on Wednesday next a grand".'procession and carnival day, for which extensive preparations are now being made. It is proposed to make a start at half -past 10 Uu IS morning, the procession leavfn" 1 the Horticultural Hall and proceeding up High Street as far as Whakarewa street and thence to the, Recreation Uround, where short speeches will be delivered by the Mayor (Mr M Simpson), "Colonel" Everett of fhe Sharpshooters, and the Sharpshooters' Chaplain, the Rev. W. W. French. In the, afternoon sports and games will be I held, m the Recreation Ground, and the carnival will be brought to a con:Jr,«\°VVh\eyenin£ in the Horticultiiral Hall, when the winner of the -Princess competition will be announced Many contributions of produce, etc ' nave been made, and these will be disposed of curing, the afternoon and I evening at the Horticultural Hall One i resident gave a pedigree Holstein bull winch will, be disposed of at auction.
