A Russian communique says:— We captured the town of Kugi, an important junction of the roads from Erzeroum, Lhaputi, and Khzinrjtha. The Turks, in great force, commenced to advance on the 17th in the direction of Mosul. Our detachment retreated to a new position.

We dispersed considerable bodies of Persian nomads, near Ispahan.
