Mr. P. Wiffen, hon. secretary of/Red Cross Branch, writes to us from Flat Creek-under date July 20th, as follows :—
"Will you kindly acknowledge the following donations for the Red Cross Fund:—Mr. Russell £2, Mr. T. A. H. Field, M.P., £1, Mr y W. Lock ss. "In connection 'with the recent Carnival, the expenses were not more' than £20, ■ the sum of £633 being taken. Besides this amount raised by Red Cross workers, three large chests valued at about £50 each have been sent away."
