Tawmarunui, July" 17. ; At the Magistrate's Court James Clark was committed for trial- a; Hamilton on a. charge of a serious offence against a boy. Bail Avas fixed. Ghiristchurch, July 37. Michael Carey,- a soldier, who was arrested in with the death of Frank William Allen on Saturday night, appeafed at the Court to-day charged^ with murder. A charge of using obscene language was also preferred against him. The accused Avas remanded till Friday. Bail 'was not asked for. . Dunedin, July 17. Alfred John Mills, a- young man, pleaded guilty to bigamy by marrying' Sarah Adelaide Whisker, a barmaid at Ohristchurchj or. the 7th inst., while ho had a wife living at Oamaru.
