He was 27 years of age, the seventh son of Mr and Mrs Joseph Polglaze, now of Hamilton, Waikato. The deceased was born at Nelson, and removed to the North Island with his parents when quite young. He was for several years.-with Rouse and Hurrell, ooachbuilders, etc., of Wellington, and for some years had a business at Paiagaroa. He was a Forester, a member of the Pangaroa Brass Band, and was successful in cycle road-.racing. He was the only single member of a family of 10, and at the time^of enlisting, he held a section at Hamilton, milking upwards July, 6.
